Yarai Noh Theater offers a special Noh experience over four days in February and March 2024. We warmly invite everyone to this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the charm of traditional arts.

Venue: Yarai Noh Theater
■ Tour experience session・February 2nd (Friday) 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
・February 3rd (Saturday) 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
・March 2nd (Saturday) 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
・Admission Fee: 500 Yen
■ Watch Noh “Hagoromo”!・March 3rd (Sunday) Starts at 3:00 PM
・Includes commentary, demonstration, and photo session (after the show, open to all, participation optional)
・Price: Reserved Seating, Adults 3,000 Yen, Students (Elementary, Junior High, and High School) 1,000 Yen

・Viewing the Noh stage
・Performances of Noh dance “Atsumori” at 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM (about 5 minutes each)
・Display of Noh costumes and masks with mini-commentary
・Noh mask experience
・Photo spots with life-size Noh panels

・Japanese and English explanation site available on smartphones (accessible on the day)
・Limited number of tablets for loan
・Simple English guide available
・Introduction to Noh booklets in Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, and French distributed
■ Watch Noh “Hagoromo”!
Date: March 3rd (Sunday) starting at 3:00 PM
Activities:
・Beginner-friendly performance with commentary
・Noh “Hagoromo” performance by Yoshimasa Kanze
・Pre-performance introduction of the play in Japanese and English
・Free loan of subtitle explanation tablets (Japanese and English) with limited availability
→ Tablets and booklets provide an easy-to-understand guide to Noh “Hagoromo” with illustrations.
・Photo session time after the performance (photography prohibited during the performance)
・Post-performance viewing of costumes and Noh mask experience open for free participation
